Vessel in the shape of a Hero and a Winged Bull

The hero holds a sword in his right hand and grasps the left wing of the bull with his left hand, with his left foot pressing against the left rump of the bull, while his right foot is firmly planted into the ground. A SASANIAN ROYAL POTTERY BULLA FOR SHAPUR II (309-379 A.D.), king of kings of the Iranians and non-Iranians, grandson of Lord Narseh.

تصویری از شاپور دوم ساسانی، شاهنشاه ایران و انیران و پسر شاه نرسه بهمراه کتیبه پهلوی ساسانی که در دوطرف تصویر پادشاه نوشته شده است.

 متن برگردان بفارسی کتیبه از روی متن انگلیسی و با نظر به ساختار کتیبه های شاهنشاهان ساسانی: 

مزدیسن (= کسی که به دین مزداپرستی یا زرتشتی ساسانی است)، شاپورشاه، شاه بر شاهان، از ایران و انیران (= سرزمینهای غیر از ایران که زیر پرچم ساسانیان بوده اند)  که چهر از یزدان دارد، پسر مزدیسن، هرمزدشاه،  شاه شاهان از ایران و انیران که چهر از یزدان دارد، نوه شاه نرسه.

With the bust of the king facing right, wearing crenellated crown with korymbos above, thick hair falling down his back, ribbons flying out behind, his thick beard with knotted plait, wearing large pendant earrings and necklace, with inscription reading "The Mazdeen, the Lord Shapur, king of kings of the Iranians and non-Iranians whose appearance comes from the Gods, son of the Mazdeen, the Lord Ohrmazd, king of kings of the Iranians and non-Iranians whose appearence is that of the Gods, grandson of Lord Narseh, king of kings"
